Taken in 1980, this photograph shows Bassam Shakaa and his wife, Enaya al-Fassed, receiving the United Nations (UN) Prize in the Field of Human Rights on the sidelines of his trip to the British capital of London for treatment, in the wake of the Israeli Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate him on 2 June of the same year.
