Friends and Relatives of Shakaa Family on a Visit to Egypt
Taken between 1962 and 1964, this photograph shows friends and relatives of Bassam Shakaa visiting the Egyptian city of Port Said during the Shakaas' stay there as political refugees. Among the people identified in the photograph are Abdel-Karim Haidar, first from the right at the forefront; next to him is Said as-Sabe'; Najiyyah an-Nabulsi, first from the right in the background; and Enaya al-Fassed, fifth from the right in the background. The photograph also shows the child Hana Shakaa.
