Taken in 1961, this photograph shows Bassam Shakaa's relatives visiting him and his wife, Enaya al-Fassed, during the couple's stay in Syria as political refugees. Among the people appearing in the photograph are Um Mazen, the wife of Saad Shakaa, Bassam's brother, fourth from the right; Enaya al-Fassed, sixth from the right; and next to her is Bassam Shakaa.
