Marj al-Zohour Deportees, December 1992
Taken by Joss Dray in December 1992, this photograph shows a group of the deportees to Marj al-Zohour among 415 Islamic activists from the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" and Palestinian Islamic Jihad who were deported by Israeli Occupation Forces to the Marj al-Zohour area on the Lebanese-Palestinian border in response to Hamas's abduction of an Israeli soldier. The deportees lived in tents in the area for a year before the issuance of the international resolution 977, which stipulated their return to Palestine.
