A Telegram from Uri Davis to Bassam Shakaa, 29 March 1982
Sent on 29 March 1982, this telegram of solidarity was sent from Uri Davis, a Jewish peace activist in England, to Bassam Shakaa, dismissed mayor of Nablus, in the wake of the dismissal by the Israeli Occupation Authorities of the municipal councils that had been elected in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
