''Withdrawing Mass Resignations of Municipalities and Local Councils following Release of Bassam Shakaa'', a Clipping from Asha'b Newspaper, 7 December 1979

Issued on 7 December 1979, this clipping of Asha'b Newspaper shows photographs of the meeting of the mayors of municipalities and local councils in Beit Hanina regarding withdrawing the mass resignations they had submitted and resuming their work, in the wake of the revocation by the Israeli Occupation Authorities of the expulsion order issued against Bassam Shakaa, mayor of Nablus. Among the people appearing in the photographs affixed to the newspaper clipping is Ibrahim ad-Dakkak, secretary of the Palestinian National Guidance Committee in the Occupied Territory, which comprised mayors and representatives of the national factions and was established following the Camp David Accords, signed between the Israeli Occupation and Egypt.
