Issued on 16 June 1980, these clippings in English from al-Fajr Newspaper report on the Israel Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate Bassam Shakaa, mayor of Nablus. They feature an interview with Enaya al-Fassed, Shakaa's wife, and photographs that were originally published in the Time newspaper showing him transferred in an ambulance to Jordan to receive treatment, in the wake of the attempt to assassinate him on 2 June of the same year.
