"Shak'a Comments... on Assassination Rumors"; "Shak'a's Wife Calls on the Israeli Public"; "Shak'a Under House Arrest"; "Statement by West Bank Mayors on the Fahd Peace Plan", Newspaper Cuttings, 1979-81

Newspaper cuttings featuring an explanatory statement by the mayors of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip on the 1981 Saudi Peace Initiative, the house arrest forced upon Bassam ash-Shakʿa the Mayor of Nablus, and the rumours of assassination attempts against him. Each of said four cuttings, published in the late 1970s and early 1980s, featured news pieces as follows. The first cutting, entitled "Ash-Shakʿa Comments on Assassination Rumors" features a news piece about the assassination attempts carried out against him, in addition to his comment on said rumours in the sense that these rumours must be taken seriously, based on previous rumours that preceded a previous assassination attempt. He also held the Israeli Occupation accountable for such acts. The second cutting published in 1979 and entitled "Ash-Shakʿa's Wife Calls on the Israeli Public" features a news piece about a request from ash-Shakʿa's Wife Inaya demanding the Israeli public to pressure their government to facilitate his release. The third cutting, entitled "Ash-Shakʿa Under House Arrest", features a news piece about the house arrest forced upon Bassam ash-Shakʿa, and the fourth, entitled "A Statement by West Bank Mayors", features a news piece about said mayor's view of the 1981 Saudi Peace Initiative, which will be in harmony with the Palestine Liberation Organization's.
