A Palestinian Women's Delegation Protesting in Front of the British High Commissioner, 1929

Taken on 26 October 1929, this photograph shows a delegation of Palestinian women during a meeting with the High Commissioner, Chancellor, to demand the annulment of the Balfour Declaration, the prevention of Jewish immigration, and the disqualification of the Judicial Adviser to the Government of Palestine. This was the first time that Palestinian women went out and participated in the national movement.
