BIOGRAPHY

Born to a Palestinian father and a Syrian mother in the city of Haifa in Palestine on 29 March 1947, Ali Kazak grew up in Syria, far from his homeland and his father. He received his education in the city of Damascus and studied at the Faculty of Commerce of Damascus University. During his university studies in 1968, he joined the ranks of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement - Fateh, and from there he embarked on his political career in the Cause of Palestine. During the period from 1981 to 2006, he held many positions, serving as a representative of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), the Commissioner General of the State of Palestine to Australia and New Zealand, and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Vanuatu, the State of Papua New Guinea, and the Republic of Timor-Leste.

DESCRIPTION

The Ali Kazak Collection includes a number of artistic and revolutionary posters belonging in their entirety to Palestinian organizations and exhibitions, which in turn chronicle various historical eras and political events that express the Cause of Palestine and the Palestinian people at the local and global levels, all within the Palestinian people's interaction with other peoples.
It also contains a number of video documentaries that chronicle the Diaspora, the 1948 Nakba, the June 1967 War, and the criminal massacres carried out by the Israeli Occupation inside and outside Palestine. Kazak has donated these collections to the Palestinian Museum.
