BIOGRAPHY

Ziad Yousef is a resident of Burham Village, located in Ramallah district. He worked as a secretary for the Palestinian Attali’ah Weekly. He was interested in collecting the documents of his family as well as in keeping many of the papers of his friend, Rajeh al-Salfiti.

DESCRIPTION

The Ziad Yousef Collection contains a wide range of various documents that Yousef had collected over a long period, including the correspondence of his relative, Abd al-Aziz Ali, an inspector at the Government Veterinary Quarantine Department in Yafa, in addition to personal correspondence that he exchanged with his friends and relatives. The collection also includes financial records, such as tax receipts. Yousef also kept issues of some periodicals and identification papers such as birth certificates, identity cards, driver's licenses, and land deeds. It also encompasses several Zajal poems by the Palestinian poet Rajih al-Salfit, as well as old family photographs taken in Jerusalem and published by Attali’ah Weekly.
