Found in Nidal abu Aker Collection, this colour photograph is one of a set of photographs documenting the social and political life in Dheisheh Palestinian Camp, showing Palestinian refugee and freed prisoner abu Awny abu Aker standing with his nephew, Luʾay, and another child from the camp. In the photograph, abu Awny is pointing his catapult; a popular, small hand-powered resistance tool used by Palestinian demonstrators when confronted with the Israeli occupation.
