Footage taken from the theatrical performance of "The Two Expatriates" at the Omareyah School theatre in Jerusalem
"Footage taken from the theatrical performance of "The Two Expatriates". The play script was written by George Ibrahim; which was inspired by The Two Immigrants; a book by the Polish writer Slavomir Mirojek. The play was directed by Antoine Saah and performed by George Ibrahim and Bassam Za'mat. The play discusses the issue of immigration through two types of immigrants. The first: a simple man who left home in the hope of overcoming poverty and achieving his dreams. The second: a failed intellectual, who could not balance his claims of struggle with his ideologies, and he couldn't fathom the struggle needed to fulfill his ideologies. The first lived a life of harsh deprivation and the second lived a life of loss and illusions."
