A Photograph of a Gathering in Celebration of Muhammad abu Aker's Return from Treatment
Found in Nidal abu Aker Collection, this colour photograph is one of a set of photographs documenting the social and political life in Dheisheh Palestinian Camp, showing the shaheed Muhammad abu Aker and his father Naʿim, Jamal Atiyya and Akram Atallaha among other Palestinian men gathering in celebration of Muhammad's return from a treatment trip to the United States. The photograph in the background was gifted to the abu Aker family from the Progressive Student Labour Front, which consists of an illustration of the shaheed Muhammad with words of poetry made by Adnan az-Zubaidy.
