A Decision to Open a School for Boys in Beit Iba
Handwritten in 1921, this document shows a decision to open a school in Beit Iba for boys aged six-fourteen from Beit Iba, Beit Wazan, and Zawata. The decision also assigns ʿabdallah al-Khatib (Sakher Khatib's uncle, who's the owner of the collection) a teacher at the school. The document bears the signature of as-Samaria inspector, as per the British Mandate's division of the areas in Palestine (Galilee, as-Samaria, South Jerusalem, and Hebron).
