The Entrance to Yakoub Shomali Family's House in Beit Sahour, 1980
Following the arrest and torture of his son, Tariq, this photograph shows the entrance to Yakoub Shomali's family house sealed with red wax. It is mentioned that on 13 May 1980, the Israeli Occupation forces accused Tareq Shomali of assaulting the Military Commander's jeep by throwing stones at it, the arrested him, tortured him and caused him harm that led to extensive injuries that put him in the hospital, then the Occupational forces decided to displace Yakoub Shomali's family from their house in Beit Sahour to the abandoned Ein el-Sultan Refugee Camp in Jericho.
