A Paper Clipping Entitled "abu Zaidan - Abd el-Halim al-Julani" Abd el-Halim al-Julani also known as "al-Shalf", he was born in Hebron in 1908, he was the leader of the Soth during the Palestine Great Rebellion 1936-39. In 1931 he abducted a weapon of a British soldier near Solomon's Pools in the village of Artas and therefore, was prisoned bu the British Troops.   During the Palestine Great Rebellion 1936-39 he worked to create factions of militant activists within the South.  In the Vally of Aziz located to the West of Hebron, he initiated "The People of Salt" whereas it consisted of dorms for the activists, storage area for weapons, a leadership council, and a resilient court.  In May 1939, the British Troops attacked the place in order to detain "al-Shalf", however, he managed to flee and seek refuge in Iraq and Egypt.
