"Abdallah al-ʾAṣbah", Adel Zawati, a Paper Clipping
Handwritten in Arabic, this paper clipping documents the name of "Abdallah al-ʾAṣbah", a leader from al-Ja'una in Safed. He was a roaming leader in the north during the Palestine Great Rebellion 1936-39. He, Abdullah al-Shaʿer and Mahmud Uthman al-Kurdi were the first to initiate the Rebellion in Safed. He also led the battle of Jubb Yusuf, killing fifteen Zionists and eight Englishmen. He also participated in the battle of 'Arrabat al-Battuf under the leadership of Abu Ibrahim al-Kabir on 28-30 December 1938. He was killed on 6 February 1938 while fleeing from the cordon in Beit Jann.
