Halima Basta, Deputy Officer of the British Police in the North District of Palestine, Egyptian
Halima Basta, from Egypt, was known for his strong allegiance to the English and his detestation of the Palestinian National Movement. Basta pursued the Palestinian militant rebels of the 1936 revolution and was assassinated on 15 April 1937 on the hands of the Black Hand; an anti-Zionist militant organization in Mandatory Palestine.
