"Qastina", Adel Zawati, a Paper Clipping
Handwritten in Arabic, this paper clipping documents the name of "Qastina", a depopulated village northeast of Gaza and southwest of al-Ramleh on the Jerusalem-Gaza Road. Located 42 kilometres from Gaza and 27 kilometres from al-Ramleh, said village is connected to other villages with paved roads and the British "Bear Tufia" Camp was located three kilometres southwest of the village. In 1948, Zionists occupied the village and established the colony of "Kefar Ahem" with Swiss funds in 1949.
