Taken in 2016, this colour photograph shows a freeze of the theatrical performance "Hay at-Tanak [Cans Neighbourhood]" in cooperation between the Birzeit University Deanship of Student Affairs and the Popular Theatre Troupe. Directed by Fathy Abder-Rahman, the play addresses the reality of the poor and marginalized areas due to the absence of social justice. Featuring dance moves by Maher Shawamrah, music by Ramy Washha, and songs by Jamil as-Sayeh, the play also features actors Marah Yasin, Muhammad al-Haj Ahmad, Ṣafwan Jibril, ʾAmal Ṣalah, Ubaydah Ṣalah, Lara Naṣṣar, Mahmud abu Shamsiyeh, Ramzy Washha, Muhammad Masharqa, Musa Naṣer, Rida Jarrar, Musa Nazzal and Umar abu ʿĀmer and dancers Muna Basha, Matilda Dababneh, Hiba abu Ghush, Sima el-Jallad, and Mohammad Farrukh.
