Naseer Arafat's Interview with the Palestinian Museum, 'Never Part' Exhibition, 2013

This video clip documents Naseer Arafat's interview with the Palestinian Museum as part of the "Never Part" project. In this project, the museum aimed to collect narratives related to cherished and profoundly significant belongings preserved by Palestinians, which serve as epitomes of their connection to their homeland. Arafat, an architectural engineer, preserved approximately 220 doors that from the houses of the old town of Nablus that were affected by the mobility policy of Israeli occupation soldiers. These doors were breached and damaged as a means of protection by the Israeli soldiers, resulting in their loss. Some of these doors date back to 400 years ago and beyond, including the Mamluk, Ottoman and other historical eras.
