Salah Omar's Interview with the Palestinian Museum, 'Never Part' Exhibition, 2013
This video clip documents Salah Omar's interview with the Palestinian Museum as part of the "Never Part" project. In this project, the museum aimed to collect stories related to highly cherished and valuable belongings preserved by Palestinians, which serve as epitomes of their connection to their homeland. Omar preserves his father's passport, issued in Jerusalem in 1945 by the Mandate Government. Inside the passport, there are various stamps from different countries, indicating the political history of the region and the changing official names over time. Additionally, the passport contains his birth certificate, written in Hebrew, stating "State of Palestine."
