Salim Azar's Interview with the Palestinian Museum, 'Never Part' Exhibition, 2013
This video clip documents Salim Azar's interview with the Palestinian Museum as part of the "Never Part" project. In this project, the museum aimed to collect stories related to highly cherished and valuable belongings preserved by Palestinians, which serve as epitomes of their connection to their homeland. Azar, who hails from the city of Yafa, preserves a brass tray and two pots that he inherited from his grandmother. They are engraved with the name Salim, which is the name of the interviewee's uncle. His uncle was injured by an Israeli shell in his own printing press in Yafa and was transferred to Gaza for treatment, but he later was murdered.
