Mohammad al-Awaj's Interview with the Palestinian Museum, 'Never Part' Exhibition, 2013
This video clip documents Mohammad al-Awaj's interview with the Palestinian Museum as part of the "Never Part" project. In this project, the museum aimed to collect stories related to highly cherished and valuable belongings preserved by Palestinians, which serve as epitomes of their connection to their homeland. Al-Awaj preserves an Ottoman dagger that he inherited from his grandfather. His grandfather acquired it during the Ottoman rule from Jerusalem. The dagger was passed down to Al-Awaj's father and eventually to Mohammad in the early 2000s.
