A Photograph of the Plot and Outline of Umayyad Palaces Near al-Aqsa Mosque
This photograph is taken from a book that shows the plot of the Umayyad Palaces near the al-Aqsa Mosque. It is worth mentioning that this area is where Israeli excavations have been taking place after occupying al-Quds (Jerusalem) in 1967. On the drawing, Ibrahim al-Fanny has written notes that show how old excavation at al-Aqsa Mosque and its surroundings, which started in the middle of the 19th century by the two archaeology experts, the German Conrad Schick and the English Charles Warren.
