A Plot that Shows the Tunnels in Silwan Spring and Athuhoor "Ovel" Hills Area According to Excavations

Found in the Palestinian archaeologist Ibrahim al-Fanny Collection, this photograph shows a plan of Ein Silwan including a numbered key explaining iron tunnels, Warren's tank, Ezekiel tunnel, the city wall during the late Bronze Age, the city wall during the Iron Age in the time Nebuchadnezzar occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem) in 586 B.C, and the wall during the Greek era. The photograph also shows the analysis of the elements of the numbered map as follows: Ein Silwan, Silwan pool, the ground layers of the Canaanite city, the layer of natural rocks, a side entrance to the city, a tank and a tunnel, a horizontal channel for horizontal polarization, a model used for the water flooding from the spring and into the tank, an entrance to Ezekiel tunnel and a point of connection between the upper and lower tunnels.   It is worth mentioning that this plot included the names used by archaeologists working on excavations in al-Quds (Jerusalem), specifically to the south of al-Aqsa Mosque and Silwan Spring.
