A Letter From Anwar Nusseibeh to the "Bronswerk" Company, Jerusalem, 21 December 1959
Printed in English, this archival item documents a letter from Anwar Zaki Nusseibeh in Jerusalem to someone called "Hanken" in the "Bronswerk" Company in Beirut- Lebanon sent on 26 December 1959, in this letter, Nusseibeh informs "Hanken" that he received his name and address in Beirut through someone known as "Van Lennep" who is the General Manager of the "Shell" Company in Syria, stating that the reason behind contacting him is to seek information on the "Electrodialytic Desalting Apparatus" system made by the "Bronswerk" which can solve the problem of water irrigation of plants farmers of Jordan face, and saying that rainwater isn't enough for all the crops of vegetables and fruits forcing Nusseibeh to construct two water wells from his own pocket to secure the needed amount of water, however, the problem remains unsolved as the water is a bit salty, therefore, he would like to own this system for the purpose of desalination.
