Adel Tartir and Uncle Saber, Cairo, 2015
Taken in Egypt in 2015, this photograph shows Adel Tartir (aka Abu al-Ajab) with the late Mustafa Othman, nicknamed "Uncle Saber," one of the most famous puppeteers in Egypt. The photograph was taken during a workshop Tartir gave to make a Wonder Box at the Puppet Theater in cooperation with the Arab Theatre Institute, where the workshop spanned over a week and included participants from various Arab countries such as Morocco, Egypt, Sudan and Jordan.
