A Scene from the "al-Ama Wal-Atrash" Play
Undated, this photograph shows Adel Tartir playing a blind man and carrying the actor Khalaf Amir Taha playing the deaf man during a scene from the "al-Ama Wal-Atrash (The Blind and the Deaf)" play, while a tree appears in the background, believed to grant wishes before this illusion quickly dissipates, originally derived from a novel by Ghassan Kanafani by the Wonder Box Theatre troupe and Balaleen (Balloons) troupe and directed by Akram al-Malki. Its first performance was on 30 May 1986 in al-Hakawati Theatre in Jerusalem after the text was edited and performed by several actors.
