"The Advertisement of Ras Roos Play", a Poster by the Wonder Box Theatre, Ramallah, 1980
Issued by "The the Wonder Box Theatre" and written, acted and directed by Adel Tartir in June 1980, this photograph shows the poster advertising the "Ras Roos (The Head of Heads)" play, which is the first "Monodrama" in the history of the Palestinian theatre movement. It should be noted that its name is inspired by one of the Arabic language curricula produced by Khalil Sakakini, as it embodies real stories, but in an imaginary world of marginalized people in their societies, as if they had no name, as well as that the first performance of it was in the stadium of the Sareyyat Ramallah in 1980, and it lasted for three hours, amid a large audience.
