"The Minister of Education Announces the Ministry's Decision of Desisting from Elimination 'Speak, oh Bird' Book", a Newspaper Clipping, 11 March 2007

Issued on 11 March 2007 and found in the Adel Tartir Collection, this document shows a newspaper clipping from an issue of al-Hayat al-Jadedah Newspaper titled "The Minister of Education Announces the Ministry's Decision to Desist from Elimination 'Speak, oh Bird' Book", where Nail Mousa wrote about the Ministry of Education's decision to desist from eliminating  "Speak, oh Bird" book, after widespread calls for the preservation and encouragement of national heritage in the course of cultural obligation attempts, as the book was accused of containing offensive expressions. On March 10, 2007, a group of writers and intellectuals gathered in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Education protesting against this decision, including the storyteller and theatrical Adel Tartir.
